BREAKUP RUMOR DU JOUR: ARE GEORGE CLOONEY AND STACY KEIBLER KAPUT

As they celebrate the one-year anniversary of their official coming-out as a couple, George Clooney and Stacy Keibler have received the traditional gift from a British tabloid: a big bouquet of split rumors.

The London Sun claims the couple, who first stepped out

together at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, have called it quits because the "notoriously commitment-shy" Oscar winner, 51, has "cold feet again about settling down."

The tab quotes Stacy as telling pals that "George wants to be on his own again and has no intention of getting married."

Of course, that shouldn't be a surprise, given Clooney's repeated declaration that his one trip down the aisle (with Talia Balsam in 1989) was more than enough for this lifetime.

“Stacy hoped they would be together long-term," says a source. "It was a big breakthrough to spend time with his parents [this summer in Italy]. But over the last few weeks, George has pulled away from her."

Further fueling the whispers was Keibler's response when she was asked on Tuesday why Clooney wasn't tagging along with her to New York Fashion Week: "I don't know, ask him," she told E! News.

But Stacy, 32, was apparently just being coy, because the pair, who spent much of the summer holed up at the actor's luxurious villa in Lake Como, Italy, are still an item.

"A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true," his rep says in a statement. "[It's a] total fabrication designed to sell newspapers."

As for Stacy's solo appearance at the runway shows, the A-lister's mouthpiece cracks to the New York Post, "New York Fashion Week probably isn't high on George's bucket list," before reiterating, "They are still together."
